Father God shared these words a few years back as I was feeling anxious over looming events in our nation and around the world. This word can also apply to looming weather storms! Our Father always has the perfect words to calm our fearful hearts!
“Does a little child fret over things? Do they try and figure how to make things work out? Do they focus and meditate on limits and limitations?
No, a little child is at rest. Their father handles the hard stuff. They trust that their father knows how things work. They don’t even give it the first thought.
I, Your Father, have it all figured out!
I See all. I Know it all.
Yes, it will be disappointing when men are revealed to be not who you thought they were.
There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed.
I AM your Good Shepherd.
STAY close to Me, like chicks under their mother’s wing.
I will shelter you and protect you from what is to come. In the meantime, you must STAY as a little child, without care, believing I can handle all things.
Do you trust Me?
Your joy and peace are your trust gauges.
Make sure they are full in the morning and check them throughout the day.
Refill and take what you need when necessary.
I will keep in perfect peace whose mind is STAYED focused on Me, because he trusts in Me.
The word ‘stayed’ refers to your frame of mind…What is in your lens? Do you see Me or do you see the wind?”
Romans 8:5-6 – “Those who live according to the flesh SET THEIR MIND on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, SET THEIR MIND on the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the Spirit is LIFE AND PEACE.”
Psalm 121:5-8 “Yahweh Himself will watch over you; He’s always at your side to shelter you safely in His presence. He is protecting you from all danger both day and night. He will keep you from every form of evil or calamity as He continuously watches over you. You will be guarded by God Himself. You will be safe when you leave home, and safely you will return. He will protect you now, and He’ll protect you forever more.”

Prayer for Protection from Ice Storm!
Father God, we come before You right now as our Refuge and our Fortress, the One in whom we trust. You are enthroned above the flood, above the storm, above every force of nature. Nothing catches You off guard, and nothing is greater than Your Word.
In the authority of the name of Jesus, we command atmospheric conditions to shift in ways that weaken and lessen the severity of this ice storm. We call for destructive weather patterns to break apart, for temperatures, freezing rain, and winds to realign in ways that preserve life and property. We speak “peace be still” to this storm!
Father, stretch out Your hand of protection over our families, travelers, first responders, utility workers, and all who are vulnerable. Be a wall of fire around our homes, roads, power systems, and communities. We ask You to intervene with divine preservation and stability! Give Your angels charge concerning us to bear us up in all our ways.
You are our shelter in the storm, our strong tower in the midst of danger. We declare Psalm 91 over our families and communities—that no evil shall befall us, nor shall any calamity come near our dwellings. Cover us with Your wings; let Your faithfulness be our shield and buckler.
We thank You, Lord, that Your peace rules over fear, Your wisdom guides every decision, and Your mercy triumphs over destruction. We trust You completely as our Protector and Defender, and we give You honor for watching over us and being our Keeper!
