Usually the focus of Christmas is the birth of Jesus, but I have found the revelation surrounding his mother, Mary to be awe-inspiring as well.
In the first chapter of Luke, the angel Gabriel is sent by God with His Word to the virgin Mary; a message that would change HER world and the WHOLE world forever!
God continues to send His Word into the hearts of His sons and daughters today. He desires to use US to change the world!
Just as the Holy Spirit had an intimate encounter with Mary to impregnate her with the Word of God, He desires to impregnate our heart, our spiritual womb with His living Word, who is Jesus!
Every word we receive from God is an intimate encounter with the Holy Spirit, full of the very power and faith of God to bring the birth of that Word to pass.
In a moment’s time; in a flash of light, the Word is conceived, and our heart is set off on a new trajectory to nurture that Word to maturity, bringing forth the manifestation of His divine message in us!
Let’s be willing to be a Word carrier!
Let’s be willing to be a world changer!
Luke 1:30-33 – “But the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will CONCEIVE AND GIVE BIRTH to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; His kingdom will never end.’”
Luke 1:35 – “…The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the Holy One to be born will be called the Son of God.”
Luke 1:38 – “‘I am the Lord’s servant,’ Mary answered. ‘MAY YOUR WORD TO ME BE FULFILLED.’ Then the angel left her.”
Luke 1:45 – “Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord’s word to her will be fulfilled.”
